10 Minimal redesigned corporate logos – The new trend!!

The year 2009 witnessed numerous corporate brands with a logo redesign. While many corporate logos redesigns involved detailed and complex changes, there were some corporate brands that chose to slightly adjust their logo design while retaining their previous identity.

“The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak.”
Hans Hofmann

Brands that make minimal modifications to their corporate logos while preserving their original identity greatly benefit from it. The biggest advantage of minimal logo redesigning is that it prevents the loss of customer retaliation. Big firms who completely redesign their corporate logo sometimes fail to be recognized by their customers afterwards. Reviving corporate identity does not always require drastic changes, sometimes in logo redesigning, less is more. Just by removing unnecessary elements from the logo design, one can highlight the necessary elements of you corporate identity.

I have analyzed several redesigned logos of corporate brands and collected 10 corporate logos that comprise a minimal but effective change.

22 Famous Logo Redesigns of 2009 – Will they Sail or Fail?

When you feel that your old company logo is being overlooked among so many contemporary logos, it is an indication that your corporate logo needs to be revamped with a fresh new look. However, thinking of a logo redesign is a risky proposition. Corporate logos take years of hard work and considerable amount of funds to develop. Many companies try to reposition themselves with the redesigning of their corporate logos, either make minimal changes with little impact or extreme changes which can confuse existing customers.

Points to consider for a logo redesign:

Business without a corporate logo is like an entity with no unique identity. Logos deserve particular attention and before a logo is redesigned, one should know why the redesign is needed. Following things should be considered before redesigning corporate logos:

  • Analyze what the existing company logos lack.
  • Remove unnecessary features from the previous logo design.
  • Try to single out a striking feature of the logo to work on.
  • Fill in the gaps left by the previous logo design with creative thoughts.

Over the years, we have witnessed many famous brands who have tried to refresh their corporate identity with a logo redesign. Today, I have selected 22 of the most famous logo redesigns of 2009 that came under immense limelight.

22 Amazing Black and White Logos-You gonna love it!

Through my years working in the graphic design field, I believe a logo is the major branding element which can boost or conclude the market value of any business. To stand out in the market place we willingly spend loads of money to get a sensible logo designed which is unique but easy to see and understand at the same time.

I believe logos in their purest form are a treat for eyes but many people get hung up on the colors. If your logo works in black and white, just know that you’ve got the beginnings of a good corporate identity.

Although I agree that colors add recognition and personality to the logo but I think black and white logos are no less in helping you achieve strong corporate identity. I bring you some of the most creative logos which will surely tempt you to get a black and white logo designed for your business.
