My company will provide surplus lines insurance tax preparation and/or filings for agents in any of the 50 states and the District of Columbia. Agents selling non-admitted insurance paper (ie Lloyd's of London, etc), in other words non regulated insurance paper, are required to file specific tax forms by jurisdiction and collect and make tax payments. We want to take the burden of the tax calculation, preparation, and filing off of the insurance agency so they can concentrate on selling and not on tax filings. We have been in the insurance industry for 15 years and have been preparing and filing our own surplus lines taxes for 5 years. We believe this is a unique and viable service any agency could use and can pass the cost of the service on to their clients on each policy. SLI (Surplus Lines, Inc.) needs be positioned as a premier service provider to the insurance industry. We know the filing business and we do it well.
