The South Carolina Academy of Science is a non-profit organization that promotes and sponsors science education and research in the state of South Carolina. We do this through the organization of workshops and meeting as well as the funding of grants and awards given to promising scientists. Our membership come from a variety of diciplines such as Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, as well as the Medical Sciences (Pathology, Immunology, etc). We have two daughter subsidiary organizations that deal in Middle School and High School Science Education.
