Today's online users consume vast variety of content using a wide range of tools: web browsers, MS Office, PDF readers, media players. They use these tools to find, share, store, and re-distribute information. Users have learned to perform these tasks using internet-connected desktop and notebook computers. However, delivering the same kind of functionality to smart phones and PDAs have proven to be daunting. These devices are constrained by the limited processing power, storage, form factor and often-disconnected nature of mobile devices. The fragmentation of mobile devices market and the multitude of technology standards and application platform have made easy-to-use, widespread mobile content distribution almost non-existence. EasyMobo is created to solve this problem. At a very high level, EasyMobo is a mobile content distribution service that operates in between content providers and end-users. The service allows content from different sources to be easily distributable to and consumable by mobile users.
