Small start-up pharmaceutical company. Our company uses a 'retrometabolic' design approach to take existing drugs, find the safest breakdown product the body makes from this drug (aka, metabolite), then design a drug that acts as the existing drug but only metabolizes to the safe metabolite, providing a vastly safer drug than the original. Currently we have a front-runner drug for dermatological applications, namely atopic dermatitis, and would be safe for use in infants and children (new for this class of therapeutics). The general drug class our products fall into are corticosteroids.
