It provides an advertiser targeted consumers willing to be "pitched" a product and/or service, while it provides the consumer royalties from this arrangement. This is different conceptually from standard display advertising in which the consumer may be struck by "banner blindness" and pay little attention to the advertisements - thus, the motto of the company.
