Arcangel will provide Oracle database consulting services. Customers will be middle-tier corporate management (directors, VPs, managers). Primary focus will be of two types: (1) Address Oracle database performance issues. Imagine a large bank having performance issues with the database that runs it's ATMs - as transactions updating the bank accounts slow, valued customers immediately begin to queue in front of the machine, waiting for access to cash. This illustrates the scope and priority these situations can produce, as well as highlight the potential career impact to managers responsible for the database. My job is to be the ArcAngel in this situation - bring immediate access to higher-level knowledge, elevated capability to resolve issues, and the levelheaded ability to neutralize the situation for the good of everyone involved. (2) Standard Oracle database consulting Customers may engage Arcangel to consult in proper Oracle database design to ensure stable, rapid performance. Higher-level knowledge and elevated capability are required in these situations as well.
